About our Human Resources & Training Sector Committee

The HR&T SC represents EuroCham members on human resources, education and training issues in Vietnam.

To bring our members’ concerns to policymakers’ attention, we engage with key stakeholders such as:

  • The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA)
  • The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET)
  • The International Labour Organisation (ILO)
  • The Vietnam Business Forum (VBF)
  • The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)
  • The European Parliament

Our role is to raise awareness and provide updates on outstanding changes in labour and education legislation in Vietnam to the EuroCham community.

Members of our committee also organise and deliver regular education and training programmes for Eurocham members and partners.

23 February 2024: Joshua James, Vice-Chairman of the EuroCham HR & Training Sector Committee had an interview with VTV4. He highlighted the increasing trend of people pursuing education abroad or joining international programs within Vietnam, suggesting it could boost workforce quality. He also emphasized the role of foreign direct investment in developing high-quality human resources.​

22 May 2024: The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) hosted a forum at the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering on strengthening cooperation on research and training between higher education institutions and FDI enterprises. Co-Chair of EuroCham’s Human Resources and Training Sector Committee William Badger spoke at the event and emphasised the importance of soft skills and sustainability training to prepare Vietnamese graduates for the global workforce.
